PROFILE - STEPHANIE HAWES
MProfPsych, MAdvProfPsych
Registered Psychologist
I am a Registered Psychologist who has recently relocated from Melbourne to Perth. I completed my Masters degree in 2022 and have since worked in private practice supporting a range of clients.
I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with various presentations. I have supported clients through difficulties with depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD, gender dysphoria, and trauma. I use a neuroaffirming approach in working with individuals with ADHD and autism, including providing whole-family support for neurodiverse children.
I use therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed approaches to promote, maintain, and enhance mental wellbeing and day-to-day functioning.
My overall approach is person-centred, gentle, and compassionate. I approach therapy with a strengths-based view to help people live their most meaningful life using their own strengths and newly developed coping skills.
