A compassionate and highly experienced registered psychologist with a humanistic, person-centred ethos, I am delighted to be back at the Henry Street Centre and to be returning to my Fremantle therapeutic roots! Previously I worked as the professional lead psychologist on the ALIVE suicide intervention program at the 360 Health & Community services for over 4 years. In this role I provided psychological assessment, psychotherapeutic intervention and support to people across the lifespan and from varied cultural backgrounds.
I also provide professional supervision to Headspace Mental Health practitioners at their Fremantle, Rockingham and Mandurah centres. I was on Project Reference Group that provided guidance and advice for the WA Mental Health Commission/WAAMH facilitated report - Statewide Model of Care for Personality Disorders (2020).
My earlier Australian psychology career is extensive and broad, commencing with periods working with refugees and people experiencing homelessness, before moving across to a dual role as psychotherapist and Triage Officer on the Commonwealth ATAPS (Access to Allied Psychological Services) programme for over three years, and was concurrently a member of the SPOT (Specialist Psychological Outreach Team) working with young people in crisis and distress.
I have also worked as a professional lecturer in psychology in the United Kingdom before moving to Australia and falling in love with Fremantle!
